Our Team

Dr. Huma Sheikh, DDS, MS, PA

Dr. Sheikh is founder and owner of RTP Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. Dr. Sheikh is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Her interest in academia and research led her to complete a Masters of Science in Operative Dentistry, in addition to completing her DDS. She has done extensive research on dental materials, with two publications on composite resins and their adhesive abilities. During her postgraduate studies, she received the Ann & G. Randolph Babcock Fellowship Award, which secured additional funding for her research.

Her clinical interests are in esthetic rehabilitation, reconstructing a patient's smile, and giving them a new outlook on life. As an adjunct assistant professor at UNC School of Dentistry, she devoted herself to her students, helping them develop clinical skills they will utilize for the lifetime of their careers. She is also an active member of North Carolina Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Sheikh grew up in Wisconsin amongst a family of seven, and was inspired to become a dentist by her father, who has been practicing dentistry in Wisconsin for over 25 years. She enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with her husband, son and daughter.

Maura

Patient Care Coordinator

Maura moved to North Carolina from Dayton, Ohio 4 years ago. She has extensive dental experience spanning over 30 years in general practice and Endodontics. 

She is passionate about excellent customer service and patient satisfaction. She is very excited to be a part of Dr. Sheikh's team.

Maura lives in Morrisville with her husband of 33 years. She has 2 beautiful daughters and 2 adorable grandsons. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and taking long walks.

Krystle

Hygienist

Krystle Graduated from Halifax Community College in 2015 at the top of her class. She was also chosen to receive the NC Community College Academic Excellence Award. Krystle also completed the Dental Assisting program at Wake Technical Community College in 2012.

Krystle and her husband live in Louisburg. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and toy poodle Lucy. Krystle loves anything beachy and tries to get to the beach as much as possible. If she can’t make it to the beach she spends her summers at Kerr Lake.
